How To Perform Hypnosis And Change Your Life

October 16, 2009 - 2:32 am No Comments

Hypnosis is not at all unnatural as it is a totally natural occurrence of one’s mind whereby your senses are heightened and if you know what trance is then you can identify and will know how to perform hypnosis which is an extremely useful tool whereby a person will follow instructions willingly when under hypnosis. Instructions are available in many books as well as courses being offered.

It is wrong to just use hypnosis on anyone and one should receive the permission of the person concerned. There are different types of hypnosis for instance there is self hypnosis and this takes some practicing before results are seen then there is the performing arts hypnosis which is not really the true form and hypnosis is widely used by the medical profession to aid patients.

Here are suggestions on how to perform hypnosis firstly one needs a quiet and comfortable room where there will be no disturbances and the person can lie down or sit up. The person needs to be comfortable as well as needs to feel secure. Make sure that there will be no disturbances like telephones and no bright lights. You can play very soft and gentle music to suit the occasion.

A focal point needs to be established which helps the person to clear their thoughts and release any baggage and one can use a picture or you can take the person through meditation which will allow an altered state. Colours work well and effectively also for the purpose of cleansing as well as total relaxation.

Rapid slow breathing is excellent and the person should count to five with each breath they take so in other words five in and five out and at the same time they can visualize good energy coming in and bad energy leaving them. This procedure takes around ten minutes before you will notice a change and then you can go straight into your planned meditation or any other technique you have devised.

There are many different meditations which are very effective and the best ones are that have some type of water feature as well as flora and fauna. Staircases are also often whereby to the count of ten down the steps and then again when the meditation is complete there is a count of ten up the stairs. You will get the feel as to what works best for you and the person concerned and that will also avoid resistance.

Once you see that the person is hypnotised and have reached that altered state of consciousness you can then begin to direct them. All sessions should be recorded so that you can keep an accurate account of each session done which will also reveal the persons progress. Hypnosis can be used to help someone stop drinking or smoking as well as other bad habits. Many people are interested in rectifying their lives by having past life regressions done.

Hypnosis is not at all bad or evil and is definitely not used to gain control over another person and should only be used to help a person redirect their thinking from negative thoughts into positive thoughts. There is also conversational hypnosis where you are able to make suggestions to a person just by simple using the right words and phrases as well as changing the tone of your voice.

Read This If You Want To Learn How To Hypnotize A Man

May 30, 2009 - 4:36 am No Comments

If you want to know how to hypnotize a man, this short article can tell you how to do it in just a matter of minutes. Hypnotics are not as difficult to get a grasp of as many people think and such therapy can be used for a number of purposes. These can range from the cure of phobias or to try to unearth certain memories lost in the back of the mind. The most important aspect is that the person to be hypnotised should have faith, an open mind and trust in the hypnotist otherwise it will not work.

If the person is going to be fully prepared for hypnosis, then they should be wearing comfortable clothing which is not too tight. Then they should remove their shoes and lie down in a place of their choice, where they can feel most relaxed.

The hypnotist must then help to calm the person by talking to them softly and using well chosen words. They should tell the individual to relax every muscle of the body and breath slowly to start falling into a state of trance. All of this should be talked about beforehand and a signal should be decided on which the person being hypnotized should use when they are feeling in as relaxed a state as possible. The ideal signal is a slight move of the finger, since this requires minimal effort.

When a perfect state of trance is bought about, and the patient is hypnotised, then the hypnotist should start by asking them some well crafted questions and telling them to focus one hundred percent on a particular thought or theme while shutting out everything else that is one their mind. The reason for the hypnosis taking part in the first place should be thoroughly discussed before starting.

When the hypnosis procedure has reached its end, the patient needs to be bought back to a normal sense of awareness. This should done gradually so to avoid any shock which may be associated with coming out of a trance and back into a normal state of consciousness.

How To Hypnotize

how to hypnotize

How to hypnotize others depends upon your environment, first and foremost. For instance, a stage hypnotist barks a quick, overwhelming series of commands to his subjects, who begin to feel stressed to obey. The fear and anxiety of being up in front of others and not knowing what will happen is tremendous, so the subjects are more likely to flock to someone who seems calm, in control and collected. In other words, the hypnotist! There is another method more commonly used in therapeutic settings where the hypnotist uses relaxation hypnosis techniques. Speaking in a calm, quiet voice, the hypnotist will use counting, breathing instruction and imagery to assist a subject, or subjects, in reaching a state of trance. If you are learning how to hypnotize, then you should start with NLP hypnosis and work your way to stage hypnosis, which is a more advanced method.

The first step for successful hypnosis sessions is the induction. Learning to hypnotize someone is based on convincing that person to abandon their waking state and slip into a more suggestible state of trance. Not everyone can be hypnotized, certainly not without their consent, but you will find that most people are willing to relax, breathe deeply and visualize certain things. A common script for visualization centers on the parts of the body you want your subject to relax. You might say, “Start by relaxing all the muscles in your forehead… let all the cares, the stresses, the anxieties of this day melt away… feel your forehead relaxing deeply to feel the tingling of relaxation… feel your neck become warm with the deep relaxation as you take a deep peaceful breath and just let go…”.

When learning how to hypnotize, you will probably come across the term “NLP hypnosis.” This method is also sometimes referred to as Ericksonian hypnosis and suggests that “artfully vague” language is the best way to connect with the subconscious mind. It is as if you are just having a conversation with the subject, although there is a rhyme and a reason for the way you speak, when you pause, what words you use and how you phrase things. Rather than giving commands like “You are getting sleepy,” you might say something like, “You begin to feel yourself relaxing, as though a beautiful blue mist is enveloping your body.” You’ll use sensory words like “feel/see/touch/sense,” in addition to image-rich language and alliteration, like “beautiful blue mist.”

It’s important that you know not only how to hypnotize but also how to awaken a person from hypnosis. After all, you want your subject feeling fully alert and refreshed afterwards. Be sure to include this command in your beginning induction, letting the subject know “When this session is over, you will awaken, feeling rejuvenated, refreshed, as though you have just had a full eight hours of sleep, ready to start your day.” Later, you will give your subject a cue to awaken, saying, “When I count from one to five, you will awaken. By the time I reach the count of five, you will feel wide awake and alert as if you had a full refreshing night of sleep.” Counting is a common method, but snapping fingers or clapping hands is sometimes used as well.

Easy Ways to Learn Hypnosis

December 17, 2008 - 3:19 pm Comments Off

Hypnosis is a relaxation technique that can be done with the help of another person, usually a therapist or a CD or DVD on hypnosis, or it can be done by the individual himself if he has learned self hypnosis techniques. Learning hypnosis can be done in a variety of ways, depending on the level of expertise that the individual wants to achieve. If the hypnosis is only wanted for self use, then individuals can use CDs or DVDs to help with the various techniques. It is important, however, that these helps are from qualified sources, such as professional help organizations. There are several organizations that help in hypnosis oversight such as the National Guild of Hypnotists or the American Hypnosis Association.

Professional Use

If a person wants to learn hypnosis to be used in a therapeutic or other public setting, then the individual must go through more training. For those who want to use it in a therapeutic setting, the individual must become a licensed psychologist with an emphasis in his training on hypnosis. These therapists use hypnosis as part of the therapy to help individuals stop addictive habits such as smoking, and also to help patients in remembering more details of past trauma so that they can move past the event. Therapists who have a degree in hypnosis have passed a test that one of the professional organizations listed above have created to assure adequate knowledge and professionalism.

There are some people who want to learn hypnosis purely to use as part of a stage act. These people learn the basic techniques of hypnosis and use it on stage in front of an audience, hypnotizing people and then telling them to do different bizarre things. When the person is brought out of the hypnotic state they are not able to remember what they just did. There are dangers to learning hypnosis for this reason because hypnosis allows people to be more open to suggestion, and a person who has learned it for stage reasons is not careful with that power like a therapist is.

There are websites that allow individuals to learn hypnosis online, giving many different downloads and scripts that can either be bought or are available for free. Many of the techniques taught when learning hypnosis involve teaching people to breathe deeply and also how to relax their body and mind. These techniques help individuals to relieve stress and also to learn to avoid stress in the first place so that it does not adversely affect them.
